My name is Tetsuo Hirasawa, Representative Director of Alachem Co., Ltd.

In my previous role, I was responsible for raw material and API procurement at a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant and participated as a member of the drug development team during the COVID-19 pandemic, gaining valuable experience in the manufacture and sale of new drugs. Facing both internal and external contradictions and barriers, I gradually developed my own vision of what a true solution provider should be. Eventually, I came to believe that, if given the opportunity, I would like to turn that vision into reality through a company of my own.

However, under the increasingly severe economic environment, the pharmaceutical raw materials and API supply chain faces numerous challenges and is forced to navigate through turbulent times. Recognizing these headwinds, I was naturally filled with concerns and doubts about venturing into such rough waters from the very beginning. Nevertheless, I was fortunate to encounter excellent partners — brilliant minds in chemical synthesis (research facilities), strong manufacturing capabilities (factories), and trusted trading companies (distribution). These valuable connections gave me the courage to set sail.
